We are glad to annouce that Singapore Polytechnic will be represented in the upcoming 2nd Collegiate League to be held over the month of June and July on a round-the-island basis.

Twelve bowlers will be involved in this League and the selection process will be handled by Uncle Adam. On top of our entry to the league, we will be able to get six Brunswick Power Groove Reactive balls. For those interested to get hold of the ball, it will be at a cost of $100 each (UP: $170). Priority will be given to the selected league bowlers to purchase the ball. For those who is interested now, please send us an email to the club's official email to indicate your interest but will only be placed on the waiting list till the league team is announced.

Power Groove balls details:
1). Only the four following designs will be available - Red Teal Pearl, Teal Orange Pearl, Purple Silver Pearl and Chrome Yellow. Available ball weight: 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15 lbs. Click HERE for more information.

After almost 2 hours of a 6-game series roll-off, the top 2 bowlers are finally made known.

Roll-Off winner, Louis Tan with a total pinfalls of 1018 and 1st Runner-Up, Ng Kok Guan with a total pinfalls of 994, who just pip Lit Jun Hao (991) to the 2nd spot, will be heading to Victor's SuperBowl next week fully sponsored by SP Bowlers' Club. Congratulations to both of them.

We would also like to thank all who had taken part in this roll-off and made it a successful one. We hoped that we will get back your support for future tornaments.

Club T-Shirts

We will be collecting the money for the club t-shirt starting this coming week. Collection will be done during training unless oterwise stated.

Every bowler of SPBC is required to at least purchase one piece. The cost is $20 and it is very cheap already since it is a branded Track shirt plus embroidery of club name and SP's logo.

In any case, the club t-shirts must be worn during trainings and competitions unless otherwise like IVP / POL-ITE, which will have another team shirts.

Training Matters

For all bowlers attending trainings, please be reminded of the following:

1. Do NOT exchange your Admin Card or Concession Card at the reception counter. You need only inform them that you are attending trainings.

2. Bowlers with personal equipment, please bring them along for trainings for the ease of coaches' assessment of your progress.

3. Be at the bowling alley 20 - 30 minutes before trainings so as to make payment and get yourself ready in order for trainings to start on time.


MDIS Invitational Event

Due to the shortage of time for any roll-offs to determine the teams to be sent, the club's President and Vice President had decided to let the three coaches - Adam Chew, Helmi Chew and David Wong to handpick the bowlers from the training sessions.

The final line-ups of the teams will be posted up next week. The coaches' decision will be final.

We are invited for the 10th MDIS Bowling Championships to be held at SuperBowl Mount Faber in June. We will be sending 3-4 teams for the event. As the selection criteria is yet to be finalized, go all out and be train up for the event.

Details of Competition:
1. Three members per team.
2. Teams are to play 3 games in each round.
3. Top 30 Teams from preliminaries to advanced to the Finals.
4. Female bowlers given handicap of 10 per game.

Dates & Times:

For Preliminaries:
1. 6 June (Tuesday) - 7.00pm to 9.30pm
2. 10 June (Saturday) - 10.30am to 1.00pm
3. 13 June (Tuesday) - 7.00pm to 9.30pm
4. 17 June (Saturday) - 10.30am to 1.00pm
5. 20 June (Tuesday) - 7.00pm to 9.30pm

* Teams only need to bowl for only one of the preliminaries' date.

For Finals:
24 June (Saturday) - 10.30am to 2.30pm


For this event, the registration fee of $15.00 per bowler is fully subsidies. In addition, teams that made it to the Top 30 Finals will need to pay an additional $15.00. Subsidy of this additional $15.00 is not confirmed as yet.

Training will resume for senior bowlers. Please kindly send us an email to indicate your desired training day.

Please be reminded that the training fee is $12.50 per session and club fund of $5.00 will be collected when you turn up for your first training. Club fund is a one-time payment per semester basis.
